From the Beginning
DQT was founded in 2004 with just 100 ties. A potential gap in the market was seen for inexpensive, plain ties. After a slow start but we stuck at it and eventually sold out. From there, our range was expanded and the process repeated.

Things slowly started to develop and we realised that initial envision of creating a neckear company to fill a much needed market gap was actually becoming a reality.
From the onset, our philosophy was to create inexpensive, but at the same time very high quality ties and with this, our name ‘Discount Quality Ties’ was created. With our rebranding in 2010, this became the acronym, DQT.
How We Developed
We developed our standard men’s ties into numerous styles and later boy’s products and accessories were added. These, all made from the same fabric ensured everything matched. Matching colours and styles was one of our main goals so as to provide a complete family no matter big or small with the same, amazing look.

In 2009 we experimented with the idea of waistcoats, also in the same matching fabric as our neckwear to try and access more of the wedding market that we had already penetrated. It proved a success and with that, we have developed many more wedding fabrics and continue to do so until this day.

In recent years our range has diversified beyond traditional neckwear and now incorporates a complete selection including top hats, braces, waistcoats, shirts and beyond.
In early 2013, we launched our drop shipping service giving small and medium sizes businesses within Europe the opportunity to sell DQT products without the need to invest into large amounts of stock. This has proved to be a success with both our partners and ourselves.

In mid 2013, shortly after our drop shipping launch, we began to offer wholesale accounts again to small and medium sizes businesses who wish to offer our products both in retail premises and online retail stores. Again, a success, it allows our specifically approved partners to purchase quantities of our products at a significant discount and reach out to an even broader area of the market.
2017 has been a very busy year for DQT. We expanded our warehouse because we were simply out of space with the quantity of stock and new designs we have developed over the years.

And we are not stopping there, our market research and development team are constantly exploring new options for our customers and trade partners. We have regular new collections released every 3-4 months to ensure we are offering you, our customers the freshest and most stylish designs all from one place.
